No matter what I took on or how overwhelming it felt, I kept in mind an important lesson. None of us have to carry the load on our own.
As soon as I got out of bed, I felt a pit in my stomach. It was another Saturday, which meant I had hundreds of games going on all over the place. While hoping that all my scheduled officials would show up as planned, my phone rang with the first fire to put out.
I built an officiating company while living in Alabama when my children were young. I saw a need for better quality and more professional officiating through my children’s sports. With all the officiating I had done already and as a lifetime athlete, it came naturally. I grew my company from two basketball contracts to 18 and then another four sports with multiple contracts for each of those ranging from YMCA to Junior Colleges. Balancing it all with my own officiating and five children was overwhelming some days, but I let the Lord help me carry the load.
My faith has always been important to me. I grew up helping my father (a career Army man) assist elderly church members with everything from mowing lawns to running errands. That inspired my passion to help others. I strongly believe that we are put on this earth to love our fellow man. Those experiences also ignited my work ethic and compassion, and guided me to serve a greater purpose.
In 2016, we moved to Colorado. We always knew we would end up back here (where my husband grew up) near family. In that transition, I decided to pursue a new career. I still officiate games and won Mid-Veteran Basketball Official of the Year in 2021.
I found an opportunity right away in real estate, and after living all over the world in a military family nearly my entire life (my husband is an Air Force veteran), I related easily to clients. I started out as an office manager handling the sale of over 80 homes over three years. In 2020, I became a licensed REALTOR®.
I go 110% and only slow down if I get knocked back. When I get those reminders from the Lord that I can only run so fast, I stay down for a hot minute, then get right back up and keep going! My husband, Mike, is also a huge support during those moments, like in 2020 when my position was eliminated during the pandemic. Rather than let it stop me, I got my license and went out on my own. My core values of God, Family and Career give me a strong sense of purpose. That inspires my determination.
Every morning, I start early with a workout in my home gym to focus me for my day.
Over the years, I have found more peace as I have grown more involved in the community. Since 2020, I have been the President of the Women’s Organization at my church, supporting over 100 women. Connection is paramount to me, and I continually strengthen that with every opportunity, like the walks my family and I go on every Sunday. I appreciate real estate as a continuation of that connection with my clients and community. I am very proud of my family’s history protecting this nation and strongly support all active and veteran military members. My grandparents were also in the military, and my son has continued our tradition as the fourth generation through joining the Air Force.
Whenever I am not working, I enjoy hiking fourteeners, skiing, biking, and spending time with my family, including our two cats. We are also huge Colorado Avalanche fans! My favorite part of being a REALTOR® is helping my clients discover their dreams.
I will do as much or as little as you want me to do throughout this transaction. As your REALTOR®, I am here to help make this process as seamless and stress-free as possible. If that means pulling weeds or packing boxes, I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work. As an energetic and enthusiastic advocate for my clients, I truly want to help in whatever way I can.
Having lived all over the US and Europe, I understand how overwhelming buying and selling a home can be. Adapting to meet your needs, whether military, remote or otherwise, I will be your guide. Due to my experience buying, selling and renovating properties as a homeowner, I lend a unique perspective to my clients. With my extensive experience in new construction, property management, investment properties, rentals, and residential real estate, I am confident I can help you get where you want to be. Once the transaction is closed, I will continue supporting your everchanging real estate needs as your lifelong REALTOR®.
Sincerely,
